PSM DECRIES DECAY IN HEALTH CLINICS ON NIGERIA CAMPUSES
The case of miss Precious Joshua is one out of the lots of synonymous cases across several campuses of the federation caused as a result of the deplorable conditions of School Clinics in the country both at the Primary, Secondary and tertiary institutions levels.
PSM is calling on the Federal Government Of Nigeria’s ministry of Health to look into the issue of decay in campus clinics as we have wasted thousands of students across the country to the devastating form of our campus clinics, which is nothing to write home about.
PSM is demanding that the compulsory NHIS FEES been charged from students across the federation be made Voluntary pending the time when all campus clinics would be made to live up to its exceptions of saving lives, rather than extorting Nigerian Students, as it isn’t all Nigerian Students that are enjoying the required health service.
PSM is also calling on the all heads of institutions to as a matter of urgency consider reviving the school clinics with modern facilities that will help in saving the lives of the acclaimed leaders of tomorrow.
Most students across the federation have often complained to PSM leadership as regards chalks given to students as paracetamol, this is completely unacceptable and must stop!
PSM Nigeria in collaboration with other organized and united students bodies shall be constituting a fact finding team to institutions to see the state of school clinics and any institution without the necessary facilities, we shall be considering recommending the removal of such institution head be it VC, RECTOR OR PROVOST as the case may be for failure to take the lives of Nigerian Students Serious.
We pray that the Almighty God grant her Family, Friends, department of biological Science students, UNIABUJASU, and the entire university of Abuja populace, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”.
