Nigerian singer and songwriter Simi born Simisola Ogunleye has revealed she first met her husband Adekunle Gold on social networking site, Facebook.
She added at that time she was doing only gospel music and wasn’t a star.

“He was chasing me all over on Facebook and everything. When I was doing gospel music, he used to listen to my songs. You know he knew my songs and so he reached out to me on Facebook. I didn’t know him at the time. I didn’t respond either,” she said.
Simi who started her career as a gospel singer, releasing her debut studio album in 2008, titled Ogaju said when they first met in person at a concert, he was then a graphic designer and not a musician. Their relationship evolved from friendship to romantic partners later on.
Simi and Adekunle got married early this year in a private wedding reportedly attended by 300 guests.
