Tony Berlin was born on December 9, 1968, in the United States of America. He grew up in Los Angeles and was raised alongside his sister by his freshly divorced mother.

After elementary school, his mother moved him and his sister to Tucson, Arizona, where he continued his education.

Tony attended Amphitheatre High School in Tucson and joined the basketball team there.

He had to work two jobs to support his family and only began to pursue his dream at the age of 34 when he enrolled at the Poynter Institute to study reporting.

Career

While doing his master’s, Tony received an offer to be an intern at PBS News.

After his internship, he moved to Washington, D.C., to work as a producer at Cox Broadcasting. He also worked as an anchor and reporter for other media companies before joining ABC Network.

Tony worked on the show Good Morning America and became a household name soon afterward.
