Kidneys help produce red blood cells, eliminate excess water, detoxify the organs, among other functions.

The kidney controls all levels of essential minerals in the blood, so its importance can not be over-emphasized. The kidney must stay fit at all times. However, some bad habits can increase the risk of getting kidney disease.

Patterns like the following:

  • Holding Your Pee

If you often resist the urge to pee, this could affect your health negatively.

Because holding your urine for a long time, can lead to kidney infection and urinary incontinence, so whenever you feel the need, relieve yourself.

Sitting for long without proper exercise can affect your kidney, so instead, ensure you are active at all times, going for a walk when time permits it instead of idleness.

  • Overusing Painkillers

Overuse of common drugs like aspirin or ibuprofen can result in kidney damage.
