8 Items You Should Never Share With Others

Certain items should remain privately used by you and you alone.

Sharing such things with others is a bad idea for many health reasons; there is love in sharing, but sharing such objects can get you into trouble.

An example of such an item is a toothbrush; why would anyone what to do that?

Taking bacteria from one’s mouth into yours doesn’t sound appealing one bit. When it comes to sharing personal items, you really should have a rethink before saying Yes.

The following are examples of things that you should never share with others:

Items You Should Never Share With Others

  • Bar soaps

Contrary to popular belief, bar soap isn’t self-cleaning.

Instead, they can accumulate fungi, bacteria, and possibly yeast from the skin by retaining skin-like pathogens.

As a result, it could cause infection and illness, making it dangerous to share bar soap with others.

  • Towels

Sharing towels with others can get you infected with bacteria and fungus.

If not correctly taken care of, Towels can become a breeding ground for germs, so sharing a towel with anyone is not just gross but can have you accumulating harmful organisms on your skin.

    • Toothbrush

As I said earlier, sharing toothpaste should be a big “NO” for everyone.

Toothbrushes retain bacteria, and getting someone’s toothbrush into your mouth is you crossbreeding bacteria that can harm you in the long run.

In addition, it often results in common cold, strep, bleeding gum which can turn very ugly, and mouth odor.

    • Earrings

The sharp ends of earrings occasionally prick the skin. In addition, when shared with others, the blood-borne disease becomes easily transferable.

So no matter how tempted you are, don’t share earrings with others, nor allow them to share yours with you.

    • Hairbrush or comb

I have heard incidents of people getting lice on their heads just from sharing hair combs.

Anyone who has battled lice in their hair or head would know it isn’t a pleasant experience.

So to avoid having a very discomforting experience with lice, avoid sharing a hairbrush or comb.

    • Cream in jars

Sharing creams with people, especially when the cream comes in a jar, is equally harmful.

You see, the finger is one of the biggest carriers of germs, and dipping them into the cream can contaminate the entire jar, meaning rubbing it on your skin is doing more harm than good.

In addition, staphylococcus or streptococcus, which causes inflammation of the hair and acne, can be transferred to cream through a contaminated hand, dipped into the cream.

    • Razor/Nail clipper

Sharing sharp objects like razor blades or nail clippers is a horrible idea.

Even hair clipper isn’t such a good idea either; this is because dead skin cells and bacteria accumulate on a razor, and when shared, this can transmit warts and fungus, or worse blood-borne diseases.

Sometimes even the condition of some people’s earphones can gross you out, not to talk of sharing it.

Studies have shown that earphones generate bacteria like staph and strep, which can be transmitted from one ear to another ear when earphones are shared.

So when next someone asks to make use of your earphones, kindly tell them No.
