Domit was born on February 28, 1967, in Mexico. According to a rating published by Forbes business magazine, he is the eldest son of Carlos Slim Helú, a business mogul, engineer, and investor, who was the richest man in the world between 2010 to 2013.

His parents Carlos Slim Helú and Soumaya Domit Gemayel, are both of Lebanese heritage.

His mother was a philanthropist who died in 1999. He has a degree from Universidad Anáhuac, where he studied business administration in 2004.
