Claudia Heffner Peltz hasn’t disclosed much about her childhood publicly, she was raised alongside her two siblings, Charlene Heffner and Holly McCloskey in Baltimore. Charlene Heffner was adopted by Doris Duke as an adult in 1988 and changed her name to Chandi Duke Heffner.
However, she came into the limelight after filing a lawsuit to gain control of Doris Duke after her death. Doris took Charlene’s name out of her will after the two fell out.
Doris Duke was married twice, and her only daughter was dead before she adopted Charlene. After her death, Charlene filed a lawsuit to gain control of her estate. Duke had left the majority of her wealth to charity, but Charlene ended the lawsuit in exchange for a settlement of $65 million from the estate.
Duke had left a $1.2 billion estate behind. She died in 1993 at the age of 80.

Claudia is married to Nelson Peltz in a private wedding ceremony. He was born on June 24 1942 in New York, USA. His parents are Maurice Herbert Peltz (father), and his mother Claire Peltz (nee Wechsler).
He studied at the University of Pennsylvania but dropped out in 1963 to focus on his career. He was allowed by his father to manage their grandfather’s company, A. Pelts & Sons alongside his brother Robert.
Apart from running their grandfather’s company, Nelson purchased food companies and he also purchased the majority stake in A. Peltz & sons alongside his brother Robert and Peter May.
A. Peltz & Sons were renamed Flagstaff Corp. after they purchased the majority of the stake in it. This was the start of Nelson’s growing empire.
