Stella Damascus was born on the 24th of April 1978 in Benin City. She hails from Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria. She is born into a family of 5 girls and had her primary education in Benin City.
Her family migrated to Asaba, Delta State, when she was 13 years old. She was enrolled in a secondary school at Asaba. She then got admitted to the University of Lagos, where she studied Theatre Arts.

Stella Damascus was once a singer in Lagos, and she was connected with Klink Studios that belongs to Kingsley Ogoro. She even did series of jingles for various products on TVs and radios as of then.
The first movie she featured in was titled Abused, and the film was produced in 1992. She then fractured in a film titled Breaking Point, and the movie shot her to stardom.
She later featured in yet another movie titled Behind Closed Door and then another film titled Widow in 2009 that got her the AMVCA award. Stella Damascus has featured in more than 70 movies since she started acting.
