Iwan Rheon is a Welsh actor best known for portraying Ramsay Bolton in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2011). He also described various TV series characters such as Misfits, Game of Thrones, Our Girl, Vicious, and Riviera.
Aside from acting, Rheon is also a singer and songwriter, and he is fluent in Welsh and English.
Born 13 May 1985, in Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, Rheon is the son of Einar and Rheon Tomos.
He began acting in a drama production at the age of 17. He attended Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Glantaf before studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Rheon got his first notable stage act in 2008 at the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool, where the drama Eight Miles High was staged.
That same year he cast in the London production of the Tony Award-winning rock musical ‘ Spring Awakening as the haunted Moritz Stiefel.

Rheon won the Best Supporting Actor Award for his participation in the musical at the 2010 Olivier Award.
He played Simon Bellamy’s role in the E4 channel’s Misfits and appeared in the Secret Diary of a Call Girl’s final episode in 2011.
In 2013 Rheon auditioned for Jon Snow’s position in the HBO series Game of Throne but lost to kit Harrington. Instead, he was cast as Ramsay Bolton, who was a villainous Psychopath. In 2013 Rheon starred in the radio play Dark side, in which he played a lead role. Notable Iwan movies include Resistance, The Back of Beyond, Daisy Winters, and The Dirt.
Music Career
Also a singer and songwriter, he was the lead singer in the band The Convictions before leaving to pursue an acting career.
Iwan Rhein’s first solo EP, Tongue Tied, was recorded in 2010, produced by Jonathan Quarmby and Kevin Bacon at RAK Studios in London. He recorded his second EP, Changing Times, still under RAK Studios and the same producers In 2011.
His third EP, Bang Bang, was released on 7 April 2013, with a music video for the title track released on 9 April 2013. Rhein released his first album Dinard in April 2015 at Rak Studios and Ty Cerdd Studios.
James Clarke and Jim Unwin produced the album. The album title Dinard is a town in Brittany, France, where Rheon met his girlfriend, Zoë Grisedale.

The Welsh actor is in a serious relationship with Zoë Grisedale. The couple first met at Brittany resort and welcomed their first child together in August 2018.
