Early Life

Madelyn Renee Cline was born in Goose Creek on December 21, 1997, in South Carolina, the U.S., to engineer Mark Cline and real estate agent Pam Cline. She graduated from Charleston Day School.

Madelyn spent most of her childhood in New York City, where she participated in television commercials for T-Mobile and Sunny D.

After high school, she enrolled at Coastal Carolina University but dropped out in 2017 to pursue acting.

Career

Madelyn Cline started showbiz as a model before eventually acting in 2011 as Maya Smith in “23rd Psalm: Redemption”. A role later followed this in “Savannah Sunrise” as Willow in 2016.

Between 2016-17, Madelyn was cast as Taylor Watts in the “Vice Principals”, appearing in three of its episodes.

In 2018, she made a television appearance with the role of Chloe in “Boy Erased”, followed by another in ” This is the Night”, playing Sophia Larocca.

She eventually landed a recurring role in the “The Originals” television series, followed by another in “Stranger Things.” In 2018, Madelyn was cast as the main lead, Sarah Cameron, in “Outer Banks”, released in April 2020.

This soon became her breakout role as the show received positive reviews, with a second season being released.

In 2020, Madelyn and her boyfriend, Chase Stokes, were featured on Kygo and Donna Summer’s single “Hot Stuff”. Then, in June 2021, she was cast for “The knives Out 2” sequel.
