Steve Carell was born in Concord, Massachusetts, on August 16, 1962. His father, Edwin, was a mechanical engineer then, while his mother, Harriet, worked as a psychiatric nurse. Steve was the youngest of Edwin and Harriet’s four children.
During his early years of life, Steve grew up in the city of Acton, Massachusetts. Steve’s family combines three different heritages: Italian, German, and Polish. He undertook his elementary and high school education in three different schools: Nashoba Brooks, The Fenn School, and Middlesex School. During high school, he engaged in two major sports activities: hockey and lacrosse.
After high school, Steve was admitted to Denison University to study history. Steve spent a few years at the university and later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. After graduation, he joined an improv troupe where he had the opportunity to work as a DJ using the alias “Sapphire Steve”.
