Career
Bae relocated to New York City with just $80 in her pocket and could hardly speak English. However, she was a natural-born artist who loved drawing and considered it her passion.
Since she could draw naturally, she decided to seek out employment at a tattoo studio. She spent two years in the tattoo studio, learning everything she could on tattoo art and design.
She later decided to open her tattoo studio named “Diamond Tattoo.” Bae started her tattoo in a small room that could hardly fit in 5 people at a time.
However, she was consistent in it and, over time, expanded to a bigger space.
The reality TV show “Black Ink Crew,” an American reality television series that featured African-American tattoo shop owners and operators, soon took notice of Young Bae.
She became a part of the crew, appearing in its fifth season, later followed by the following seasons. The show gave her the career boost she needed, and over time, Bae became both an internet and television sensation.

Young Bae was engaged to Rob Bobby, a fellow cast of the Dark Ink Crew.
The couple who got engaged in December 2017 announced the birth of their first child, Nikko, on May 22, 2018. However, they later got separated.
