What movie has Larry David written?

Larry worked as a store clerk, historian, and limousine driver while still working as a stand-up comedian.

He resided in Manhattan Plaza, in a housing complex in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan; he lived across the hall from Kenny Kramer, the main inspiration for the Cosmo Kramer character in Seinfeld.

Larry worked as a writer and cast member of ABC’s “Friday’s” from 1980 to 1982; he also worked as a writer for NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) from the year 1984 to 1985.

Unfortunately, during the period he spent at SNL, he could only get one sketch on the show, which was aired at 12:50 am, the last slot on the show.

He quit his writing job at the first season of SNL, only to surprisingly show up at work two days later as though nothing had happened.

Although he met his future stars of Seinfeld during the early stage of his career, he worked with Julia Louis-Dreyfus on SNL.

She later played the role of Elaine on Seinfeld and Michael Richards on Fridays, who also played the role of Kramer on Seinfeld.

The series Seinfeld was one of the most successful shows in history, and it reached the top of TV Guide’s list of 50 created TV shows of all time.

In addition, it was ranked the Third Best TV Show of all time by Entertainment Weekly. Larry left the series on friendly terms but returned in 1998 to write the series finale.

Larry wrote about 62 episodes of Seinfeld, including “The Contest” in 1992, which won a Primetime Emmy Award and was ranked No. 1 on the list of “TV’s Top 100 Episodes of All Time” by TV Guide.

The syndication of the series earned him an estimated $250 million in just 1998. The amount has been steadily decreasing every year, but the payments will continue until the whole $1.7 billion from the original syndication deal has been paid in full.

On October 7, 1999, the HBO cable television aired Larry’s one-hour special, “Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

It was followed by the first episode of the HBO television series Curb Your Enthusiasm, which aired on October 15, 2000.

The show revisited many of the themes in Seinfeld; Larry wrote the story outline, it was at the fifth season of the series, he hired additional writers.

The written storyline is only several pages long and requires the actors to improvise their dialogue based on the storyline, direction, and creativity.

The numerous social faux pas, misunderstandings, and ironic coincidences of the characters are the basis of much of the show’s comedy.

The show is based on the events in Larry’s life following the fortune he earned from the Seinfeld series.

The show starred actors Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, who had recurring roles and celebrities Richard Lewis, Bob Einstein, and Wanda Skyes.

The show has been nominated for 30 Primetime Emmy Awards with one win, and a Golden Globe win. David made $55 million from Seinfeld syndication and Curbed Your Enthusiasm in 2008. The 10th season of Curb Your Enthusiasm was premiered in 2020.

Other works of Larry include:- writer and director of Sour Grapes (1998), an actor in Woody Allen’s Radio Days (1987) and New York Stories (1989), the lead role in Allen’s New York-based comedy film Whatever Works (2009).

He played the role of Mary-Mengele in The Three Stooges reboot in 2012 and also appeared as a panelist on the series The Marriage Ref.

He also wrote and starred in the Broadway play Fish in the Dark, which had an advance sale of $13.5 million and had broken records for a Broadway show.

In 2015 Larry made guest appearance’s portraying the United States presidential election candidate Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live. In 2017 PBS’s Finding Your Roots traced the roots of Larry and Bernie Sanders and discovered they were distantly related.
