Porsha was born in Atlanta, Georgia, the USA, on June 22, 1981. Her parents are self-employed entrepreneurs, while her grandfather, Hosea Williams, was a civil rights activist.

Porsha attended Southwest DeKalb High School in Decatur, Georgia. She later got a degree in business information technology at the American Intercontinental University.
Career
At the age of 24, in 2005, Porsha opened a daycare facility, that same year, she landed a modeling gig used as a calendar for the Atlanta Dymes.
Then, in September 2012, she was cast for the fifth season of the reality series “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” alongside other casts.
Her first appearance was in November 2012, where she was shown to have clashed with Kenya Moore during a charity event to feed homeless people in the third episode.
The sixth season of the series documented the waning relationship of Porsha and her husband, she was also hospitalized during the series, and it was depicted that she was stressed following the events surrounding her ongoing divorce.
Later on, she joined Burruss’s stage musical A Mother’s Love as a cast.
In March 2014, Porsha released her debut single “Flatline,” and later on that same month, her fellow cast of the series accused Porsha of cheating during her marriage which brought about altercations between both actresses.
In 2015 it was announced that Porsha had signed to return to the series as the main cast, alongside new casts, which included actress Kim Fields.
She also participated in “The New Celebrity Apprentice” as a contestant in January 2016.
She was reportedly engaged to entrepreneur Dennis McKinley, and the proposal was shown on the 11th season and 15th episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Porsha Williams and footballer Kordell Stewart met in 2009, and they eventually got married in May 2011, a wedding filmed and broadcasted on the WE TV series Platinum Weddings.
She later expressed her intention to have children with Stewart, who already had a son from his previous marriage, but she couldn’t due to difficulties in the union, visiting a therapist.
After two years of marriage, Stewart filed for a divorce, and during an episode of The Real Housewives, Porsha claimed she was blindsided by the whole thing and only learned of the separation through Twitter.
They finalized the divorce in December 2013, and Porsha received none of his earnings or properties through the settlement.

Upon the murder of George Floyd, Porsha became an activist and crusader against police violence.
She was arrested outside the home of the Attorney General of Kentucky, Daniel Cameron while protesting and calling for the arrest of the officers involved in the shooting and killing of Breonna Taylor.
